SANTA CATERINA (Italy) – Paolo De Vizzi, 39 years old, from Manduria (Italy) has always been a sea lover. In 1996, as a result of a car accident, he lost the use of his legs, but he did not give up. He set three world records, the last one in 2013 after being underwater for 34 hours and 30 seconds.
This June (26th-29th), the athlete will try a new record: 50 hours underwater. To break it, he is supported by the experience of Dr. Luca Morelli (Underwater and Hyperbaric Doctor) and Dr. Alessandro Galletta (Dentist and expert of Sports Splint). The latter, thanks to BTS TMJOINT, made an objective evaluation of Paolo De Vizzi’s dental occlusion and he verified his posture in the water.
