Thanks to the financing promoted by the city of Lodz (Poland), the researchers of the local paediatric hospital have gained a new chance to improve the analysis and the care of the rheumatoid arthritis on its little patients.
The collaboration between DynamoLab, directed by Dr Gianluca Padula, Prof Emanuela Galli, from the Politecnico University of Milan and Dr Filippo Camerota from the Umberto I Hospital of Rome, has allowed the start of a great international project.
They first organized a workshop to introduce the importance of the motion analysis in the medical and sport field, with a focus on the pediatric rehabilitation. The target of this course was to teach the pediatric hospital staff how to evaluate the movement pathologies and disorders with biomechanical analysis systems.
The BTS GAITLAB installed in the DynamoLab will be used by the doctor to analyze the pre and post treatments of the patients. After analyzing the data, they can be used for scientific studies to help improve future treatment plans for the children with rheumatoid arthritis.
A beautiful story of international cooperation that we hope will grow up and expand in the future!
