The 15th Annual Congress of SIRN Società Italiana di Riabilitazione Neuromotoria – Italian Society of Neuromotor Rehabilitation – took place in the last few days in Novarello (NO); it’s one of the most important medical events in Italy for physicians, physical therapists and operators in this sector. 400 participants got involved in lectures, workshops and roundtables. BTS attended this event with a stand located in the exposition sector where we performed live demonstrations and presented our products.
As every year, also in 2015 edition BTS sponsored the BTS-SIRN prize. This competition focuses on young researchers members of the Society, and this year it rewarded the best research paper on Movement Analysis with regard to its innovation content and with a special prize.
Doctor Gianotti Erika won the competition with her scientific paper titled “Attività elettromiografica del vasto intermedio nello Stiff Knee Gait (S.K.G) in pazienti con esiti di stroke” – electromyography activity on vastus intermedius for Stiff Knee Gait (S.K.G) of stroke patients- and her prize was a BTS G-WALK, our wireless system for the evaluation of walk disorders.
The SIRN Congress has been an ideal stage for the presentation of the new applications of BTS ANYMOV, a rehabilitation platform for early mobilization suitable in the treatment of different neuromotor dysfunctions limiting patients’ ability to move. It was a great success also for BTS FREEEMG 1000 and BTS G-WALK, presented to the Italian market with our new software which includes analysis protocols for walk analysis and running on treadmill, Timed Up and Go, Turn Test and 6 minutes walking test.
