The 16th Annual Meeting of the Italian Society of Clinical Movement Analysis (SIAMOC) ended on October 3rd. The event attracted many visitors that attended workshops and lectures on several topics: from Gait Analysis and motor disabilities, to the use of new technologies in rehabilitation. BTS FREEWALK was the leading attraction of the congress. The system allows a functional electromyographic evaluation of walking, providing objective and quantitative data related to muscle activity and kinematic parameters.
The congress also hosted the BTS USER MEETING 2015, a meeting dedicated to our customers, to share the latest technological advances and projects that are still under development in our company.
BTS also sponsored the award for the acknowledgement of the best scientific work presented by a young researcher. The winner, Mariangela Dipaola (from the University “Politecnico di Milano”), will have the opportunity to work in a well-established Movement Analysis laboratory in Europe for a one week stage. During the week, the young researcher will be involved in the instrumental evaluation of patients, discussion of clinical cases and the choice of surgical pharmacological and rehabilitation strategies.
