Sway is the BTS solution for the quantitative analysis of equilibrium. Using a force platform with three axes, Sway computes the position of the center of pressure (COP) of a subject during stabilometric tests and quantifies its oscillations.
Sway allows to:
- Plot the centre of pressure (COP) versus time
- Plot the COP on the platform plane
- Identify the main oscillation axis
- Identify the inertia ellipsoid
- Determine the angles of the COP with reference to the centre of gravity
- Compute the area covered by the trace of the COP
Main features:
Complete graphical representation
- Plot of the centre of pressure (COP) versus time
- Clew: plot of the COP on the plane of the platform.
- Histogram: indicates the percentage persistence of the COP on platform areas defined by the user
- Polar diagram: plot of the distance of the COP from the centre of gravity
- Sectors: indication of the persistence time of the COP in angular sectors defined by the user
- Star
- Density: indicates the points in time for which the stability of the subject features a peak
Multiple orientable displays
Either a single enlarged graph or four graphs can be displayed. The reference system, centered in the center of gravity of the COP's or in the center of the platform, can be orientated by the user at will.
Immediate comparison between different tests
Using Sway, the tests made over time on a specific patient or on different patients can be compared by displaying and overlaying several analyses on the same graph
