BTS G-WALK reaches Nigeria at the Obafemi Awolowo University (http://www.oauife.edu.ng).
We thank Prof. Olaogun (Head of the Medical Rehabilitation department) and Dr. Obembe for their understanding of the importance to use objective and reliable assessments:
“We have been using observational gait analysis which is not adequate for research and teaching considering the current trend worldwide. We plan to use BTS G-WALK to demonstrate on patients in the clinic and also individuals with normal gait in the classrooms”.

Kassel Group Inc (http://www.kasseledu.com) is an independent orthotic related education company dedicated to providing high quality educational programs. The Founder and President Robert Meier is a 30+ years veteran in the field of the orthotics education. With the goal of providing continuing education he decided to integrate in the Kassel program the G-WALK as a case study that showcases how technology can effectively improve the quality of treatment. According to Dr. Maier “BTS G-WALK is more than temporal-spatial and pelvic kinematic data – it has the ability to change how patients are managed. With objective data it provides, better decisions can be made with respect to orthotic selection or tuning, components or rehab protocols to pinpoint functional gait deficits and maximize functional outcomes.”

BTS Bioengineering now has motion capture technology at two National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) centers: the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas and the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. BTS recently finished training engineers on the SMART DX system at the Exercise Countermeasures Laboratory at Glenn Research Center. The addition of this technology will give researchers the ability to conduct motion analysis studies relevant to astronaut exercise on the International Space Station and beyond.
