We are very happy and proud of being part of Obiettivo 3, the new project of Alex Zanardi, Handbike’s Paralympic Champion, providing our systems for the sports evaluation of athletes with disabilities.
Last week we had a first online session called “Fall risk assessment with G-WALK” to show the new indexes computed by our system and also the reports that can be used for a clear and easy communication with the patient. At the end of the event, a free G-WALK was drawn among all the participants.
Great success for 2017 ICBMC (International Conference on Biomechanics in Human Movement and clinical Translation) held last week at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China). The event was entirely focused on how the surface electromyographic (sEMG) activity could be used to develop a clinical method for evaluating gait disabilities in children with Cerebral Palsy (CP).
We have the great pleasure to join the AIMTES Congress held in Massa Martana (PG) where, thanks to our distributor Bioservice, we have had the opportunity to show our company and products to a wide group of physiotherapists, sports masseurs, personal trainers and sports trainers.
Also this year great success for the annual congress ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine). At the heart of the event there were our kinematic, EMG and force analysis systems with which some tests were carried out, from squat to countermovement jump (CMJ).
We joined the 1st European R2S2 – Robotic Rehabilitation Summer School (Porto Potenza Picena, Italy). During the course a series of practical demo sessions on some BTS devices were conducted. The focus has been on ANYMOV, the robotic platform for motor and functional rehabilitation and on NIRVANA, our rehabilitation system that speeds up and improves neuro-motor and cognitive rehabilitation therapy.

Last month at the offices of our Japanese distributor BERTEC, some tests were carried out successfully on the great Paralympic athlete Jun Hiromichi.
Professor Massimiliano Pau has been awarded during the 22nd RIMS (Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis) Congress for the best presentation, showing a scientific project entitled “Are static and dynamic balance abilities correlated in People with Multiple Sclerosis?”.
Important research center in sports field, the Area Andina University, with its laboratorio de Ingeniería de la rehabilitacióm y análisis de movimiento (IRAM), has been at the heart of our visits in South America.
