We received the testimony of Gianluca Padula, MD, PhD, Head of the University Laboratory for Movement and Physical Fitness at the Medical University of Łódź, who uses our systems to evaluate athletes from different disciplines.
Below you can read the interesting experience of how they uses our SPORTLAB:
“DynamoLab is a comprehensive center in Europe where we gathered all the necessary equipment to carry out complex analysis of human movement and physical performance in one place.
DynamoLab is located in the Didactic Centre of the Medical University of Lodz.
For the motion evaluation, we use a BTS SMART-DX 7000 with 8 TVC cameras, two Kistler 9286BA platforms for the ground reaction force analysis, a 16 channels BTS FREEEMG 1000 for surface electromyography (EMG) data collection.
We use the acquired data to evaluate each patient’s movement, determine the degree of dysfunction, plan the appropriate treatment or the training and to evaluate the effectiveness of training for the therapeutic process.
For instance, we researched proper balance and positioning for Polish speed ski contender Jędrzej Dobrowolski.
We also measured balance on ballet dance students from a Polish ballet school in several different ballet poses.
We established collaboration with volleyball players of Budowlani Łódź and soccer players of RTS Widzew Łódź to evaluate kinematic parameters and muscle tension in those disciplines.
We also supported young soccer players by balance analysis, powerlifters and young swimmers by evaluation of muscle tension.
In clinical application of movement analysis, we performed research related to evaluation of: neurosurgical patients after occipito-cervical osteosynthesis and orthopedic patients before and after Latarjet procedure.
