We are pleased to share a very interesting study on the movement analysis in early infants, whose goal is to provide predictive indices on neuro-motor development.
In particular, the spontaneous mobility of a group of infants between the 9th and 20th week (fidgety age) was analyzed.
To evaluate the coordination and kinematics of the movement of infants, our high precision SMART-DX optoelectronic system of the movement analysis lab of the IRCCS Stella Maris (Pisa) was used.
This study emphasizes the importance of quantitative movement analysis not only for a timely assessment, but also as a support tool in predicting the progression of neuromotor development in developmental age.
