The secret of a good jump is in the run-up

The high jump is one of the most exciting and challenging events in the track and field. As athletes prepare for the Olympics, they must ensure that they are physically and mentally ready to compete at the highest competitive levels. 

Stefano Sottile is aiming to return above the 2.30-meter mark for the next Olympics. 

How will he do it? The athlete underwent biomechanical jumping tests that, using markers and a three-dimensional camera system, follow every movement of the body. The aim is to try to create an optimal run-up set-up to achieve.
